Once I heard a preacher say you need to have specific faith. He said you need to have faith in God first and foremost, but in addition you need to have faith in the Holy Spirit, you need to have faith in the word of God, but you also need to have faith in the power of the blood of Jesus Christ. So I compiled a list of scripture passages which reference God’s redemptive grace through the blood of His son. As I meditated on each scripture over time, God began to give me revelation and out of that revelation came these songs. Col 3:16 says, “let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody from our hearts unto the Lord”.
The purpose of this work is threefold: to teach the body of Christ to have faith in the continual cleansing power of the blood of Jesus, to draw sinners to his saving grace, and to celebrate the King’s great place of honor and worship which He gained through His redemptive sacrifice. It is my most sincere prayer that this work be a blessing to the Body of Christ, particularly during the holy season, but also when celebrating together at the Lord’s Table. Whether presented in a small church with a piano and a small rhythm section accompanying the choir, or on a large stage with full orchestra, I see people of all denominations entering into corporate worship as the choir and soloist lead them. May each and every participant and listener receive fresh revelation to comprehend the breadth, length, width, and depth of God’s love for us, which He showed through His Son Jesus Christ.
